Personally I don't think it's the flavor that would turn me off. It's more of the textures. Americans don't really have a lot of dishes with different textures like in most Asian countries. So looking at this pic, I feel like I'd be biting into something that liquidy, rough (chicken), crispy (green things), and squishy/gelatinous (cube thing)....

Make up your mind with what textures you want in your mouth.

the green things are most likely eggplant or some sort of gourd vegetable, which should be soft and squishy
the bloodcubes have a texture closer to soft tofu than jello, but its somewhat firmer/more turgid than tofu and breaks cleaner
