Anyone else have this problem? I'm not even talking about drinking to excess, the other day I used half a beer to make some Mac and cheese (out of milk or cream), and then drank the other half, but I got a hangover that lasted for two days. I drank a six pack of angry orchard a few weeks prior and was puking my guts out for two days, didn't feel normal again for a week. What the hell is going on? Is it tannins?

I've been taking the same meds I have since I was drinking a lot when I was younger, and I never had this problem before. Only time I am ever able to have a minor hangover instead of a whole episode is when I have some dry wine and spread it out over a whole afternoon/evening. For the record I'm 28 and not extremely overweight (6'2", 230, broad) so idk what the deal is.

Idk, I used to drink a lot and it was a problem, but it was for like six months in my early 20's. And years after that I could still drink and be fine. This only started happening recently, and I only drink like 2-3 times a year now, and that's the way it's been since I was 22. Everything was fine up till this year

do you drink a lot of soda and or eat loads of sugar? If yes youve probably got fatty liver disease and its impairing liver function. An ALT should be less than 20 ideally.

>> No.16760063

>>16760053
ALT is a liver function test and you should get one next time you go to the doctor. If its normal it doesnt necessarily mean everythings fine but if its elevated youve probably got fatty liver

you can totally fuck up your liver with that combined with diet and shit luck at the genepool

Absolutely not. I'm diabetic actually. I hate soda, candy, and sweet things. I am overweight but it's because I eat too much good food, not junk food. Meds I'm taking are said to be "hard on the liver" but a) they've never been a problem before now, b) they're not the kind that build up in the system, and need to be taken twice daily, and c) skipping them for the day or the day after has no effect. I suppose the way I take one of the meds has changed in delivery method (IM injection rather than pills), but that's supposed to be /easier/ on the liver.

Ask your diabetologist about it or go to a hepatologist. Wish I had a better answer for you sorry.

Never actually been to a doctor for it, or for anything else. I don't trust the medical industry, and I don't have insurance, and I refuse to bankrupt myself to have them tell me "sorry we can't help you". I buy all my meds online.

Dude don't take random drugs for beetus off the internet. Guaranteed you're fucking up your liver in the process, supplements can have actual drugs in them so people think they work.

I know what I'm doing. All are drugs that get prescribed in Europe, all are drugs that I whose effects I monitor with blood tests from lab testing companies, and all are well-attested to. It's all good.

I think you might have an allergy, unless you are just super dehydrated. Actually talk to your doctor if you are that sensitive. A 2 day hangover is extreme no matter what.

You might have caused damage to your body. Go to a specialist immediately.

You shouldnt be self administering medicine. All medicine have potential side effects, and the reason you see your doctor about taking them is so they can do followup tests to find out if bad stuff is happening to your body by taking the medicine. I drank for years with no apparent effects on my liver, then I started on fairly harmless medicine and within two weeks my liver values were really elevated.

I get full blood panels every 6 months to monitor for leukocyte numbers and tons of other shit. It's almost like if you have access to medical textbooks and a little willpower, you can compare to standard ranges and look into high or low numbers. Otherwise I'm healthy as a horse.

Gatorade/lucozade destroys my hangovers if I drink it when I'm drinking (not the morning after). If you're having a hangover problem try those kinds of drinks, not caffeine drinks like red bull but sports drinks for energy performance

Most likely something to do with your diabetes and medication you're on.
