I love soda pop. I'm fucking obsessed with it. I'd drink it all day, every day, constantly.
But I refuse to let myself.
I have 1-2 sodas a week, 3 at most, and I oftentimes I don't have any for a week.
Because its terrible unhealthy for you.
But I'm addicted to the sugar and the carbonation. I mostly love root beer & ginger ale. I've tried non-sugary carbonated stuff, but it fucking sucks.
I'm addicted yet I refuse to cave in to my addiction.

i used to be. what gave me the impetus to stop was that whenever youre addicted to something, you never really enjoy it; you just kinda need it. and i missed enjoying soda too much.

nowadays i drink 4 cans on the weekends to unwind and all other times i stick to water or green tea, which is a considerable improvement over when i used to drink 4 or 5 cans day everyday.

I do homebrew with the same setup basically. Kegland sell an attachment that goes into your corny keg lid and it provides unlimited water from your mains system. When the ball float dips when liquid goes out it tips more in from the mains so it's constantly chilled, constantly carbonated.
