Everyone is disagreeing with this anon, but I can attest. Half our orders just don't show up, what does is usually rationed out throughout the week. I work in the seafood department, and today alone our sockeye salmon, mussels, snow crab, and halibut got shorted. Everything else we're losing between 10-30% of our orders on average. In contrast, warehouses are trying to get rid of anything they can because orders just aren't getting delivered. Last week we got force shipped around 15 cases of salmon portions that were expected to go out of date within a couple of days. Yesterday, we got force shipped not one, but two different kinds of King Salmon.

We do a good job of making the shelves not look empty, but we do that by spreading everything out. Ever since COVID began, several of our items have just been straight up unobtainable. Of the things we are getting, prices are going by ludicrous amounts. Snow crab is $25 per lb. right now, king crab over $50. Lobsters are above $20 per lb., tails are between $8-18 each depending on the size, cod it at $14, and hell, even catfish is going up for the first time I've ever seen.

I wouldnae mind so much but I get cheap lemonade fae lidl without aspertame but that shite's been oota stock every time I've went in for the last 2 weeks. I used to keep a 2 week buffer at home but nawwwww nae chance that lasted.
Been going hardcore on the coffee and skimmed milk powder like, but ye cannae exactly chug a nice watered doon pint a coffee and skimmed milk at 5am when yer mooth's a wee but dry.

Absolute bollocks it is, even worse they let the import students intae the country tae and they panic buy tae shit so there's nothin' else and I amnae gonnae start drinking shite at twice the price packed foo' a' aspertame that tastes worse noo am ah
