Is there a point to using raw milk in cooking? Or will the heat destroy any good bacteria/enzymes? Should I keep a jug of raw milk for drinking/cold use, and a jug of pasteurized for cooking (to save money)?

Pasteurisation doesn't heat milk up to "far above boiling temperature"

Are you really that desperate for nutrients and enzymes that you need to squeeze them from everything you eat and drink?

idk I think using raw milk for cooking definitely produces a higher quality product. I made farmers cheese with both raw and pasturized milk and the raw milk made creamier curds and a richer whey.
I wish we could sell raw milk the way we sell raw eggs and meat. Just be like 'this is for cooking" or some shit.

If you cook raw milk it is no longer raw milk by definition. The reason it came out creamier is likely because raw milk isn't standardized in the same way pasteurized milk is so your raw milk was likely a higher fat content then the pasteurized stuff.

Whereas milk is a beverage that is meant to be drank without any sort of preparation.
The reason it was made illegal is because it makes people sick and dying and there is no scientific basis for not pasteurizing it.
Maybe it should be made legal for person-to-person sale so retarded mouthbreathers have one more easy exit from this world

People eat raw eggs and meat all the time.
Also you can cook with milk. Back before the explosion of the sale of cheese and yogurt, you would make it at home. In fact, raw milk can easily be made into yogurt. There is a product called clabber which is popular in the south which is just raw milk that sours and thickens with time. Unlike pasturized milk which becomes totally inedible once it expires.

I believe what really contributed to banning the sale of raw milk had to do with the swill dairy scandal of the 1850s. Cows that were raised like shit even compared to the worst modern factory farm were producing nasty milk, and the milk would be adulterated with nasty shit like plaster of Paris to make it white and rotten eggs to thicken it. It killed 8000 infants. People got freaked out by bad milk. And then tons of dairy laws were passed, including the requirement of pasteurization.

raw milk is usually high quality so it's good for cooking, but you lose all the good stuff. however there is something to be said for freshly pasteurized milk with high quality base (which you are doing by cookign raw milk) vs just using shitty milk pasteurized long ago. idk exactly how but when you cook raw milk the spirit of the freshness is still in there somehow. so yes it's worth cooking with but obviously the health benefits will basically be gone. it will be better because the milk is higher quality, but also it will have some unknown spiritual aspect that is just better and you know it's better even though you just pasteurized it

Flyovers are the best if you have the right land. And land can be pretty cheap if you know where to look. I didn't move here for the people (even though I think they are overall of a higher quality than city people, which is saying something because the stereotypes of flyover folk are mostly true). Its beautiful and serene here, and since its a flyover faggots from coastal cities wont migrate here and ruin it like they are ruining Arizona, Texas, Idaho, and whatever the fuck else they can get their filthy nature/society destroying mits on.

Sure, if you don't cook and only eat what strangers and cooperation's make, the food will be shittier here. But if you actually care about where your food comes from you can get better food here for cheaper.

duck anon shut the fuck up, you are insufferable.
all your posts are just you sperging out about vegans/vegetarians and city dwellers.
you continually push for ideas which basically boil down to you wanting everyone in the world to flee the cities, become quasi homesteaders like you and have individual food sovereignty.
it's especially retarded because you believe this is attainable. No need to mention that when 80%+ of humans lived like that our global population was well below 1 billion people.
good fucking luck getting 6.1 billion people to do that now with, especially considering the arable land globally would just be barely enough to give each individual person _one_ acre.
>but anon one acre is more than enough to grow your own crops for the year
good thing humans are definitely completely evenly distributed across the globe to make this happen.
And don't forget about how insanely fucking inefficient it is for individuals to grow their own food vs modern farming practices. And I'm not even talking about giant ag mega corp farming, even modern sustainable agriculture is vastly more efficient than individuals growing their own shit
80% of the global population 200+ years ago weren't farmers because it was fun, or for their own independence, it was because they literally had no other choice. They were dirt poor, died often, and life was all around fucking brutal. You larping homesteaders love to pretend that you're just like our ancestors, growing your dainty little hobby crops and raising a few animals. The only thing you have in common with them is that you're poor.
But those ancestors of yours would literally kill you to have the modern luxuries you have at your disposal.

>> No.16599337

>>16599332

And those modern luxuries _would not exist_ had we as a species never moved away from being predominantly agro-based to industrial.
We have moved literally billions of people out of poverty with industrialization and cities
So keep pretending like cities are the scourge of the earth as you sit in your house built from materials, posting from your phone/computer, using electricity, etc that all could only exist with modern manufacturing and the ability people have to not spend their whole fucking day farming just to survive.
You exist in a time when you get the choice to live your life the way you see fit, 99% of humans throughout history never got this choice. And this choice only exists for you because of the post-agriculture world that you hate so much. So please, shut the fuck up already.
