I know Jollibee is a meme restaurant, but they actually a location here in Manhattan and I gave it a try today.

That was... interesting. The fried chicken was meh (they gave me "spicy" but I detected no heat) and the spaghetti's sauce was oddly sweet. The spaghetti had sliced hot dogs lol

I will say whatever canned gravy they use is pretty darn good.

I'm kinda surprised it wasn't spicy. There is a jollybees down the road from my house and the breading isn't spicy but the meat is. Like when i took a bite from a leg it looked like they injected a pepper sauce into the chicken before battering and frying it.

The one near Port Authority? That place has a strange cult following. I had the same feedback as you when I tried it, it was ok and wouldn’t be my top pick.

I went there once in vegas. the fries were great, chicken was hot and juicy, and i ate it all with one of those big gravy tubs. it was awesome. I cant wait to go back. Perhaps I will use jollybee as an excuse for friends and family to go to the philippines...
