I have also used both for home cooking and have never noticed or cared about the amount of control or precision I have with electric compared to gas. I'm sure gas is better in those regards but I'm not convinced it's SO much better that it blows electric out of the water. On the other hand, gas stoves are harder to clean, more dangerous, require a gas line, and are slower at actually heating shit up (although I guess that depends on your stove).

Either way, I don't hate gas stoves. I really don't give a fuck if you prefer them. I'm saying they're way fucking overrated to the point where certain snobby faggots think you HAVE to have a gas stove to make good food or that preferring electric makes you a pleb. It's a fucking heating element, it's not that deep. I haven't tried induction but I'd like to, it seems pretty cool.
