I always get store brand canned goods, besides tomatoes and sauerkraut. Also store brand spices. Frozen pizzas, burgers and chicken are usually pretty comparable to name brand. Kroger has the best store brand imo

I don't know why, but in australia the three major grocery stores the chicken tenders home brands are all better than the brand names. the store boughts are about 55% chicken, 15% crumbing and the rest is oil and various other ingredients like the flavours.

Kroger is the only store around me that carries the expensive Homestead Creamery milk. It's probably the best milk you can get off the shelf, but I'm not made of shekels so I normally buy the kroger plastic jug which is still pretty good.
