Does /ck/ like quiche?

Too much trouble for what's basically an omelette toast.

I've never had one where the breading actually tasted good. It's always undercooked and doughy. I'd rather just an omelette.

I always precook the crust for quiche. You're not supposed to have to do that if it's going to bake for a long time but I guess because the filling is wet and eggs overcook easily which most people want to avoid the crust won't have enough time to fully cook otherwise.

This is correct, making it from scratch is excessive work for little reward. I'm not saying its not tasty, but you can whip up a breakfast casserole in a hundred varieties using pre-made Pillsbury dough, and it will be every bit as good.

"Real men don't eat quiche" was a joke. OP's pic is just wheat, butter, egg, ham, cheese, and onion. Not sure why that would cause you to need to assert your masculinity, seems like a waste of energy.

My ex and I made quiche pretty regularly. For the crust, we would buy a bag of these and smash them up in a pie dish. The quiche itself contained spinach and feta cheese. When we made it for family, it always got demolished, people licking plates and all.

I hate it when it's made with a lot of milk/cream like most recipes seem to call for. Some recipes use more cream than egg and it ends up with a texture that's too soft. I just mostly use egg with a splash of milk or cream to help keep it moist during baking which I think tastes a lot better.
