There's a local pizza place here I've never ate at. It's always the same 5 cars parked there with minimal windows to look inside. I tried going once like around 5pm on a weekday and they were closed and locked with those 5 cars still parked there. It's gotta be some money laundering or tax evading fraud.

When I lived in San Francisco there was this shitty pizza place a block from where I lived I used to go to all the time. It was such a crappy little place run by hairy Armenian dudes, probably countless health code violations, and pizza itself was also bad. They'd leave pies out above the oven and then cut slices off, put on whatever toppings you ordered, throw on a shitload more cheese, and bake it a little. But goddamn, after a steel reserve and a shitty day in grad school a couple sausage and salami slices just hit SO right. I miss it.

Lived in PA for a while in 2019 and was shocked how bad a lot of the pizza was. I was coming from the UK and we have great pizza and my experience of American pizza was NYC up until this point which was great. And i've been to Italy.

At least the Uni's dining hall pizza was eatable
