your best bet is to just make a good strong batch of canna-butter and then you can get high by adding that butter to literally anything you want.

Take a neutural oil or butter
Grind pot and remove stems
Mix your fat and the bud and put it on a saucepan
Cook on low heat for at least an hour. The longer you cook, the more thc you extract.
Filter and discard the bud, use the oil or butter in cooking, like brownies or cookies. Cannabis is fat soluble which is why you need to let it cook in the oil. Had a roommate in college show me this and they made incredibly strong brownies. Fair warning this will make your kitchen and whole house smell like shit

Brainlet opinion, drug consumption is a highly ritualized process, it has its own culture and rites for lack of a better word. Eating an edible is part of that. People would feel like “drug users” in a negative way taking drops out of some little vial. Same reason why people don’t IV ethyl alcohol into their bloodstream if they want to just get drunk.
