Is it worth it or should the shops be shut down for robbery in broad daylight

>> No.16356753

No it is not worth it. No they should not be shut down.

Why does the patty look like that?

I went to ny once

the whole city stinks and the nyc pizza that they rave about was good but nothing special.

I do not recommend that shithole at all

I've been a couple times. It isn't that bad in the fall or winter, but in the summer, the whole city smells like piss and garbage. That being said, I still like a good NY slice, mainly because it is something I can get in the midwest.

The pretzel bun has more color than the patty itself.

If this didn't raise any alarms for you anon, have at it.

>28% food cost
>I'm guessing >1lb premium meat, a pretzel bun from a separate bakery, a few slices of bacon you aren't buying at walmart, then all your condiments
>4.48 assuming they never lose any ingredients, fuck up an order, or anyone complains and they have to refire
Go fuck yourself. This is not price gouging.

Sorry some of us know that restaurant prices aren't the cost of raw ingredients. It takes more than that to spoonfeed you and make a couple percent profit you baby.

Don't like it? Make your own.

hahahaha NYC faggots are pathetic. 16 dollarydoos for a sloppa burger in yuppie land, or you can move to a “food dessert” and eat sloppa from a can. These faggots have to deal with future doctors/lawyers/engineers robbing stores so often that grocers refuse to open and they have to get their food from corner stores that have triple markup prices because that’s the only way they can make a profit with all the shoplifting going on.

Yes, city cucks pay extra to eat chemical preservative sloppa. They want us to think it’s a serious issue, but it’s fucking hilarious.

I've been to Five Napkin plenty of times back in like 2015. It's expensive but the food is good.
Is it worth it? Not really. Is it an enjoyable experience? Yeah, sure.

For $16 I can go to pic related and get three double cheeseburgers and a double large soda and still have a dollar or so left over to leave as a tip for the geriatric who takes my order.

You can easily pay the same for a burg one third the size. Many such cases!

$16 is a pretty normal price for a burger that isn't dogshit or fast food

That particular place is alright, it's not the absolute #1 best of all time, but if I'm forced to eat there because I'm eating with picky babies who can only eat hamburgers and pizza, then there are certainly worse places

>noooo everyone who points out my dystopian hell world is le bumpkin

Visited NYC before because my moms from there, it smells like garbage and the people are soulless insectoids with a thousand yard stare after spending a lifetime in a crime ridden dystopia.

Californians who move out here stick out like a sore thumb. Materialistic douchebags and plastic people. Pretty fun getting tipsy and slashing their tires tho.

Why are people acting like that's not a good deal? Am I missing something? It looks to be an absolutely massive burger, and it's in NYC, which is a notoriously expensive place, and yet it's only $16. When I was a kid in Lakeland, Florida, there was a place called Winner's Grill, and they had this five pound burger challenge, if you finished it in under an hour the burger was free and you got your picture on the wall, otherwise you paid $30. This was in the early 2000's. It wasn't even anything special, just a bigger frozen Sysco patty than the ones they usually served. The burger in the OPAL actually looks tasty.
I hate New York with every fiber of my being, but I'd happily pay $16 for that monster of a burger, and take it home and get at least two overly filling meals out of it.

Ayy lmao I have that book too. The question now is, are you a culinary school faggot, or did you start reading a bunch of books related to the business so that you kinda know what you're doing when you start one?

I was thinking the same. I'd happily spend 16 dollars on that if I was stuck in NYC for some reason.
