Your local macdonald prices are much higher than the rest of the country. Five guys still charges as much everywhere. Regardless, I would go with the double qp combo. The best part about going to macdonalds is I don't have to stand in line for 10 minutes to order, then stand around for another 10 minutes while the zoomers that are preparing my meal giggle and say things like "dead ass" and "low key." I don't know when it became common business practice to use foul language and loudly joke around and talk about your personal lives in front of customers but it sure makes me not want to go anywhere. If you include prep and cleanup a burger takes 3 minutes to slice the onions, Lettuce, tomatoes, whatever else you want to put on it. Another minute to dress with whatever condiments. By that time your cast iron pan is preheated and depending on your patty size takes anywhere from 2-5 minutes to cook. Without fried it's 10 minutes total including clean up. With fries it's 20, but it's not hard to slop some fries in a pan and throw it in the toaster oven. If you have a deep fryer with alreadt oil in it then they cook in like 6 or 7 minutes. It takes more time to drive to the fast food restaurant, order, and drive home. The only thing is if you live by yourself it can suck having all those ingredients to use before they expire. I like to freeze my extra burger buns and use them for breakfast sandwiches or whatever at a later time.
