Because we are. It's not every 8 months it's been almost two decades. I live in Utah and the great salt lake is practically the great salt pan at the moment. I didn't think I could hate Utah anymore but the Californians have been moving here in droves and turning my shitty state into a shitty over priced state. Our reservoirs are almost too low to be useful and in the south that means that everyone down river isn't getting it either so reliable power for Vegas and water for California are rapidly dwindling. On top of that our wells are running dry and now there are concerns that are aquifers are being affected as well.
The good news is that thunderstorms are supposed to blow in tomorrow so at least hopefully everything will catch on fire.
