I've been trying to convince people to dry store pumpkins, but they don't really get the concept.

Not much desu. Mainly just potatoes, runner beans and tomatoes. Growing pak choi this year though.

>> No.16324158

>>16324148
We plant runner beans as a yolo crow, we just hurl them all about the place and see if they grow or not.
Low effort agriculture is best agriculture, and beans put nitrogen into the soil.

Honestly potatoes arent' worth growing, we just buy them from another farmer in bulk and earth them.
Tomatoes unfortunately seem cheaper to import in the form of passata, the large jars we get it in are cheaper than buying new jars- clown world.

>> No.16324289

I won't order food, buy pre-made meals, or eat out on principal but I'm still too lazy to grow my own, so I just cook. I figure that's good enough.

There's nothing wrong with that.
It's more about quality ingredients and empowerment, as soon as people forget how to cook the fast food Jews increase their prices and you see people caught in the cycle of eating expensive take out food and eating canned food.
then the canned food goes up in price.

I just made a whole kilo of mirepoix and froze it in batches, so I can fortify soups and sauces for two weeks.

>>16324304
Make the most of it, by improving your lifestyle you can rescue city fags.
In many countries people take a heap of fresh produce into the city to sell informally.

I do not understand why people would come online to discuss something like a whopper or a filet of fish. I just made a quick 3 egg omelet for breakfast, maybe 2tbsp of cheese in it and I dipped it in some of my famous homemade salsa then I crammed it up my ass. Took under 5 minutes, way faster and healthier than any fast food.

>> No.16324476

I never get fast food by myself, only when other people want some

I do occasionally eat garbage like frozen pizzas though if that counts

>> No.16324487

>>16324420
Depends, but as a general rule 95% eat at least a meal a day at home: as for the dishes, at lunch we mostly eat carbs like pasta, rice, risotto, gnocchi, tortellini, etcetera (or simply a salad if you want to keep it light). For dinner the choice is quite varied: fish, meat, eggs, legumes and everything else basically. You usually eat a side portion of vegetables with every meal. If you have more specific questions I'll be glad to answer

>I do not understand why people would come online to discuss something like a whopper or a filet of fish
That's why I made this thread, the board is being taken over by fast food tards.
>>16324476
Actually frozen pizza isn't necessarily garbage.
I sometimes buy the cheapest margarita pizza which typically has nothing but bread/tomato/some shit herbs.
Typically I add charred capsicum, roast lamb and finish with spinach and tzatziki.
Adding these things takes 3 minutes, it goes from being the worst pizza to being a $1 pizza base.

No matter how many times I make risotto it always ends up like a glue.
Making your own gnocci is easy though, when I stay in a hostel I often get random people in a production line and we all eat gnocci

You know, it's kind of supposed to have a sticky texture, of course not like glue lol: what do you use? Personally I first make a sauté in the pot, then I add the rice and then slowly stock, wine and the other ingredients; you should stir constantly and at last put the butter. I had to stop ordering fast food as a matter of financial necessity. I was spending too much money buying fast food lunches on lunch break or dinner after work if I had a hard day, so now I had to stop and box my lunches. I buy frozen or refrigerated pizza once every other week to sate my desire for fast food.

Whilst I believe that the 4Chan/4Channel spilt was a smart move by Hiro I believe that /ck/should do the same and become separate food and cooking boards. /ck/ for cooking and people who genuinely enjoy the culinary arts and /fo/ as a containment board for the McDonald’s junk food type discussion and the YouTube/Eceleb kiddies(face it, even the sh*thole that is /tv/ doesn’t want them).
My suggestion has been generally well received amongst the 4Channel IRC community and I emailed the site owner/admins for their feedback too.
What do you think /ck/? The sticky might actually get published as well!

i was in a dark place and basically waiting to die at the time, now i lost 100 lbs and quit eating it altogether.
i think a lot of the clientele is in a similar position, they don't care about life and just need something to eat
