Do you ever buy actual groceries from convenience stores?

I always see these shelves of overpriced soup, canned gravy, condiments, etc and I wonder who the fuck buys these. Do you need Spaghetti-Os so badly that you'll pay $2.49 for one can?

You can't just sell coffee beer sandwiches cigarettes and chips or else no one will call you part of the community. It's having the groceries that makes you go from being the place that sells booze to 16 year olds to being the first place you buy a beer

Nah, overpriced and usually near expiration as well. Do you see how dusty the tops of those Campbells cans are?

>> No.16289215

>>16289208
to be fair canned goods last a very very long time. but the dust also means no one is buying them. so why in the hell are they even there

Convenience, hence the price hikes. Guessing it's for people without a car or time to go to the grocery store.

they aren't there for normal groceries

they are there for "oh no I want to make X! but I don't have Y! situations"

I have spaghetti for the whole senpai but no prego sauce

I have hot dogs for the backyard grill but no ketchup or tabasco

I have half a meal but i really need some italian wedding soup to round things out!

and so on so on et cetera

>> No.16289249

>>16289242
and adding on to this, most of these items have a shelf life of like 2 years when you buy them from the manufacturer and the markup is 100% over supermarket prices, so why not round out the selection with them

Other than milk, ketchup and ramen, no.

The closest I've come is buying hot sauce from a gas station near my house and that's just so I can stomach a diet of rice until my car's repaired. Hopefully I'll have it back this week.

When I worked at a Walgreens I'd sometimes buy that stuff there, but we got a pretty decent employee discount so it came out to the same or cheaper than a regular grocery store for me

Otherwise, the people who bought overpriced groceries there either were not regular customers and in a rush and just needed to pick up one thing, or the ones that were regular customers lived in government housing and couldn't drive and there wasn't a proper grocery store in walking distance so they paid the massive markup on their bread and milk and stayed poor

Unironically, city dwellers.

These faggots have to deal with future doctors/lawyers/engineers robbing stores so often that grocers refuse to open and they have to get their food from corner stores that have triple markup prices because that’s the only way they can make a profit with all the shoplifting going on.

Yes, city cucks pay extra to eat chemical preservative sloppa. They want us to think it’s a serious issue, but it’s fucking hilarious.

Only "grocery" item I usually buy from gas stations is milk, when I'm driving home from work, I know I need a gallon of milk and can't be arsed to drive in the opposite direction to go to the store

I was an alcoholic that only had a convenience store around. I would buy a 6 pack of big flats for 3.99, and come home to drink my water beer to not shake.
