why do boomers hate seasoning?

my dad is grilling chicken tonight and i asked him what he seasoned it with, and he replied "barbecue sauce"

now i love and appreciate my dear father but shit dude you can't even put some salt or mrs. dash on it? is that too much to ask?

There's nothing wrong with Barilla pasta. Hamburger helper is a pretty tasty once-a-year meal too, but I understand the image is implying it's a weekly routine type deal.
Also barbeque sauce is a pretty powerful and masking flavor. He probably should have brined the chicken, but adding anything else isn't really needed.

I like seasoning though. I have paprika, black pepper, curry, marjoram, cayenne pepper, dill, salt, garlic, sugar, honey, rosemary, basil, oregano, peri peri, cinnamon, fennel seeds, turmeric and probably forgot some. The point is that you have to learn to use the seasoning. There are limitless possibilities.
