If you want to actually learn western cooking, then undoubtedly this is the one and only English language book to start with.

The only way to learn is by doing and trial and error. Look up some recipes, get some ingredients, and cook.

Read the fucking sticky.
But for real, when I was a kid, I really liked Jamie Oliver because he would just make a mess and improvise and do real simple easy stuff. IDK how he holds up, but he at least got a 12yo me cooking and I'll still use his cookbook occasionally.
also: "Oliver has severe dyslexia, and read his first novel (Catching Fire) in 2013, at the age of 38."

I second this, if you want an extremely easy dish that looks/tastes "sophisticated" (and shows you how much you can do with very little ingredients check out his fondant potatos recipe

I never read cook books, I learned to cook through youtube videos/online recipes and trial and error mostly.

also protip: don't buy things like meat thermometers. cooking is NOT baking it's not an exact science, it's all about the passion and feeling.

italian cooking tends to be really easy something like shrimp pasta with amaretto sauce will be doable for even the lowest of IQ retards.

salt and pepper are your friend don't go putting random spices on shit just because "experimentation"

learn to make exotic dishes that are not available where you live, can't find the ingredients? substitute retard cooking is all about the creativity.

and lastly random youtubers>>>>>>>>jewish media fags like jamie oliver and gordon ramsey.

Have fun, on your cooking journey fren!!!

im gonna give actual advice here.
id say 80% of people on this board dont know how to cook and the other 20% are housewives. if you think coming here will help you learn you are incredibly wrong. all you're gonna find out is that the 80% make a majority of the posts and theyre all about fast food.
if you genuinely want to learn how to cook from retard level, watch alton brown's cooking basics show, "good eats". it should be on netflix.
once you understand basics, try following really simple recipes, like making soups.
when you feel confident enough, just think about what kind of food you like or are craving the days you feel like cooking, and try looking up recipes for them and challenging yourself a bit. even making something as simple as a hotdog can be a learning experience.
i learned how to cook for my boyfriend so he can wife me one day and this is basically what i did, give or take a few lessons from my mom. having friends or family that know how to cook are super helpful in that regard.
you DO have connections, right /biz/ guy? i mean, you're from /biz/, you've got to have at least one friend who cooks, right?
