not too hard to see the appeal. minimalist tether to possessions while being able to be self sufficient and not tethered to a wagecage for a cuck mortgage your entire life, gives easier opportunities to learn skills without said tether, and you can basically do what the fuck you want within reason. that could be your home but that home can be and can move most anywhere, further increasing your potential experiences. would put a damper on cooking instead of having a real kitchen, however.

never know when your tent might randomly get fucked or if you suddenly decide to have some beers at a friend's place, or even something as simple as getting tired on a long drive.
also nice knowing that at the drop of a hat you can grab your keys and fucking yeet into the wilderness knowing you've got somewhere to sleep for a day or two until you get can get situated.
