Cheapest spices, cheap potatoes, onions, tomatoes, large containers of produce in general. It is a restaurant supply store, so generally you can get good deals buying in bulk (like gallon containers of vinegar). They also have cheap kitchen utensils and aprons and stuff.

Pretty much always Wal-mart because of convenience. Prices are low and they have decent fresh ingredients (at least at my store). There's an HEB near me but it's like a 25 min drive compared to the 5 minute drive for Wally world. Sometimes I'll have to make the trip to HEB if I'm looking for a specific cut of meat or ingredient besides the basic stuff.

50% at Publix and though they are my favorite everyday store, they don't have everything I want.
25% Aldi just giving away the produce, and have some fun seasonal german items from Oktoberfest through Christmas
15% Costco and all of the paper goods and some stockups of things like medications or beverages.

The rest is a mix of random TJ visit, or some farmer's market or grocery areas in a place like Target occasionally, but mostly Amazon items, like special condiments, imported goods, candy, pallets of seltzer

Cardenas is quite popular here in South California.

On a typical week:
Hit up Aldi for frozen pizzas, cottage cheese, cream cheese, lunchmeat, and certain dry goods
Hit up big local grocery for other things - bottled water, produce
Hit up the hardware store for a certain variety of gourmet deenz (they have 'em, nobody else does)
Hit up the Asian market for seafood, certain meats (best deal on odd cuts; the local mexican population goes there for mystery meat too), noodles
Dollar Tree for certain convenience foods that are a better deal there than elsewhere
Wholesale butcher if their weekly sale is of interest (it usually is)

PLUS
Various local stores & walmarts as I travel, to replenish anything I am in need of that can't wait, or to avail myself of specialty items that are hard to come by elsewhere.

Basically a lot of cherry picking.
