I use it to cook but not as a topping. Conversely, I use Tabasco as a topping but not to cook. I like siracha because it has spice without the "hot sauce flavor" of Tabasco and various others, similar to cayenne pepper.

A good hot sauce that lends itself well for marinades, glazes, sandwhiches and also just for plain dipping.

The problem is that, just like bacon, it became a meme and internet manchildren began to regurgitate it so much that it was done to death. Not only that, whites began to delude themselves into thinking they were somehow in touch with asian cuisine by using sriracha.
