Yeah it's just minced beef pressed into a loaf and sliced thin. It's delicious though. Makes great cheesesteaks.

God these used to be so goooood in the 90s. It had it's own special flavor like McDonalds or KFC. It also used to be pretty cheap. Now it's like $8 per box and the meat is flavorless. I live "in a part of the country that has very good cheese steak selection" and around here, most people I know have always found these to be shit(biased), but a lot of stuff like this has gone down hill over the years.

Slim jims for example were never good, but I took a single bite of one a couple years ago, and holy shit, they basically just taste like greasy ground up cardboard pressed into a stick. Meat products can only be so cost effective

I like steakumm - yeah it's minced meat rolled out into a wafer. It goes from raw to overcooked in your skillet in maybe 4 seconds. You have to cook a whole box to make a decent sandwich though. Yeah, it's good as much as I would like to bitch about it.

I don't know if that's true, but great ground beef is cheaper than about 15 bucks a pound. and chipped ribeye would butt fuck steak-umm meat, probably at a cheaper price point as well, at least around here.
