Roommate buys pizza stone and he keeps it in the oven.
Decided to try cooking my frozen pizzas on them, and holy shit! You guys gotta do this.
It makes the crust feel more restaurant like.

Hi OP
I do this as well, it does improve the crusts quite a bit.
I'm also gay if that matters.

do you use cornmeal on it like with brick ovens or does that not matter as much with frozen pizza dough?

I go a step further.

I preheat the oven with the pizzastone in it to 500f, and leave it for ~30-45 minutes.

Then throw the pizza on it and turn it down to whatever temp the pizza should normally be at.

And it usually cooks in ~1/2 the time, so keep a close eye on it.

>> No.15930177

>>15930145
Not him, but you don't need semolina or cornmeal for frozen pizza. If, however, you get a refrigerated dough ball that you need to stretch yourself, then you can use it to give it a crunchy bottom and to prevent sticking.

You don't wait an extra hour. You turn on the oven an hour earlier then go do something else.

>> No.15931570

I would like to add that while doing this, I usually also let the pizza partially defrost. I put it on top of the stove towards the back where it gets pretty hot while the oven is preheating. But yes it's the most based way to make frozen pizza
