In my process I've actually discovered any combination of eggs and water is the most unpleasant there is....poached eggs, eggs in soup. This to me, is very unpleasant.

I disagree, imo the best of all breakfasts is the simple two fried eggs, toast, and OJ. It's important to do sunny side up with plenty of butter with which to baste the whites so that they'll be fully yet delicately cooked while leaving the entirety of the yolk runny. it's a sublime, light meal when the whites are soft and buttery, and then you can pop the whole yolk in your mouth for a flavor explosion or run it out on the plate to soak up with your toast. the type of egg breakfast preparation one enjoys is considered subjective but it isn't, this is the way to get the best possible flavor.
