Is McDonald's good for you?

>> No.15839897

It was never good for you, at best it provided a good bit of various vitamins and minerals due to all the preservatives inside it.

It's fried food dude. Just like almost anything, it's fine in moderation, just don't go overboard.

Crazy, isn't it. And that's coming from McDonald's, a fast food chain targeting the average consumer who was maybe short on time and just needed something quick and easy to eat. Back when such companies were expecting at least some degree of intelligence and attention span from the common Joe, and knew their customers only wanted to do well-informed decisions. Nowadays companies don't even feel the need to lie about their shit being healthy, because people really don't care anymore, instead easy slogans, brand symbols and virtue signalling will further help their cause.

I'm old enough to remember when these ads were printed in magazines and such, and yes we did have time to read it. People would read magazines while having their breakfast or lunch and it's very easy to read through an ad like this, especially when it's so aesthetically pleasing. People wouldn't read something like this today because we've been conditioned to have shorter attention spans because the text in ads got shorter over time.

Yes. Advertisements in the 19th century were long explanations of why you should pick the seller's product over alternatives, what they charged, and what they specialized in.
Advertisements now aren't about tag lines. Tag lines never sold anything on their own. They are psychological mnemonics that are the final component of social engineering you into wanting a product. "I'm loving it" isn't there because it sells McNuggets, it's there because it activates all the emotions associated with McDonalds simultaneously to make you think of the restaurant positively. It is literally and unironically brainwashing, and is why companies compete so aggressively to insert ads into EVERYTHING you do.

You think some vitamins are somehow going to cancel out all the calories? Everything has to be eaten in moderation, the problem is most Americans either don't care about their bodies or just comfort eat for the sake of hedonism if the pandemic has proven anything. Don't blame McDonalds, blame poor impulse control.
