I was thinking about making some honey garlic chicken in a slow cooker. But does /ck/ have any additional suggestions? I'd like to do a chicken recipe but i'm open to others.

Why would you need to slow cook chicken? Chicken thighs already cook perfectly in like twenty minutes

Reminder never to try to rehydrate dried beans in a slow cooker.
The temperature does not go high enough to render dried beans safe to eat, and many contain deadly toxins.
The most common cause of bean poisoning is from eating raw beans, the next most common in the US is beans cooked in a slow cooker.
Red kidney beans, butter beans and white navy beans are the worst offenders

This has been a public /ck/ service announcement

Cook pintos in one all the time. Heard kidney beans could kill you, weird shit.

Thanks.

Pintos aren't as bad as kidneys but still contain toxic substances that need 10 minutes of aggressive boiling to reliably destroy

Slow cooker french dips are amazing. Get a nice chunk of top round, salt and pepper, sear it on all sides, then drop it in your slow cooker. Add a can of french onion soup, a sliced onion, a few cloves of garlic, and enough low-sodium beef broth to cover it about 2/3 of the way. Low for 8-10 hours, then remove the meat and shred it. Works just fine if you aren't able to turn it, but I like to turn mine 2-3 times just to be thorough.

The jus this produces is fucking god-tier.

for me I like to make slow cooker pork, beef roasts, or corned beef because I can put it in the morning or lunch and it will be done when I get home late without effort. Example today I put corned beef in at 6, when I get home at 8 it will be cooked and I all I have to do is boil veggies for 15 mins, or if im home for lunch ill pop them in then and not worry about it.

I have fondled my sister in the bathtub several dozen times. Just soaping up her soft supple breasts and firm backside gets me hard as diamonds.
