That makes sense, I've used xanthan gum to make lube in the past. It was great, but you had to use it pretty quickly because if you didn't it would start to smell like shit after a few days. I even considered buying thick-it to see if it was better my own. I eventually just stopped making it because it was a hassle to make and switched to using Vaseline for whenever I jerk off.
