They are actually very good, but it HIGHLY depends on location, like japanese KFC which is surprisingly good. My local Pizza Hut is very very good, much better than several locally made pizzas. I guess it's really that bad in US but I have never had anything to complain about them over here, and I have been working on and off in pizzarias for around ten years.

I fondly remember Pizza hut tasting really good as a kid. Like REALLY good, whether i dined on or got delivery.
I used to eat it for lunch sometimes in highschool because there was one nearby.
There was a major recipe change at some point around 2015 where it went from "good" to plain terrible. Like seriously it is just awful now. I'd rather have the cheap, disgusting, greasy paki shop pizza than Pizza hut.

I don't know about the UK but ours started going to shit around 2006. And I'm sure it had been going to shit before that slowly. Everything really was better in the 90s especially fast food.

Yes it was. I specifically remember all fast food restaurants serving higher quality fresher meals than they do now. They also had lines down the street during lunch rush and had white employees. There are still some good fast food restaurants like chick FIL a and an occasional Wendy's but I remember they were almost all good.

My brother's first job was at a hut, he would do a lot of actual prep work and making dough.
