If all you care about is taste, you're just a consumer. You don't give a shit about food either way. Eating involves textures, aromas, it's a process that lasts dozens of hours as you digest and absorb the food you are in the process of eating. Taste? Hardly an issue. I would have some octopus(with fresh broth), maybe a dessert of digestive cookies along with it. You will really enjoy eating once you realize the depth of the process.

How long has it been OP?

Happened to me.

First week I couldn't taste or smell a thing. Food lost all appeal. I found myself enjoying textures. So noodles, crisps, fries (crunchy on the outside soft in the middle). Ate out of necessity.

After about 10 days, I started to get hints of sense. So started to really enjoy really salty, sweet and spicy food. I couldn't taste per se, but I could tell their was flavour there.

After about 2-3 weeks, taste returned.

I honestly think eating really strong flavoured food (salty, spicy and sweet), trying to smell everything and remember what it tasted like as I ate, slowly brought my taste back.

After 4 weeks, life is back to normal thank god.

Also protip don't smoke or drink beer - it tastes like shit.
