I do not eat in public places anymore. I stopped due to the covid thing, and I don't miss it at all. I realized how much I disliked most of the serving staff. Plus I've saved a ton of money. I doubt I will ever do it much again. Maybe once or twice a month.

I pay with cash when I go out to eat at an unfamiliar restaurant. If I get shit food or shit service I just stiff the waiter and never go back. Fuck them. As far as COVID, I just try to frequent smaller local spots where they wouldnt be at capacity in normal times.

Take out/curb side food is still way cheaper than cooking a lot of stuff on your own. Most people arent going out to get hamburger helper, but I cant cook panang curry with rice and a side for the $6.75 they offer at the Thai place by my house

Yeah this is why I swing by my local BBQ place and just grab a few pounds of pork once every other week. That being said for $20 you can cook 6 servings of basil chicken most likely far better than the place you're ordering from.
