I agree. I don't really get cakes like that. Yeah they may look aesthetically pleasing but omg that's a lot of gelatin.
Would rather just have the strawberries on top with some kinda syrup so they shine but would also taste better than so much fucking gelatin in every bite.

I tihnk these videos are pretty nice. No annoying voice overs, and they have really good technique. In reality, its not all that much gelatin. The strawberries are displacing most of it, and they're just barely covered. I believe they're also sitting on top of a thin layer of jam. Overall there's less gelatin used than there is fresh strawberry.

In rehab when we HAD to eat either jello or pudding for desert, I was the new guy so I got last pick and I always got jello. Regardless of the color, I hated it and now I associate jello with alcohol withdrawal, I can't even touch it anymore.
