Hello /ck/, I am humbly requesting your help.

I am in charge of the meat for our delayed Christmas dinner tomorrow. I bought some steak from our supermarket (sorry im not rich).

What's the best way to prepare those? I have a lot of non stick skillets and some pots that are not nonstick.

You can get better quality at the butcher for the same price as Albert Heijn steak. Anyway, since you only have a skillet to cook them either in butter or olive oil (lighter) as hot and short as possible (a few minutes) and finish them off in the oven at 200C for another few minutes for a medium rare. Let them rest for another few minutes and serve them with some grounded black pepper. Bonus: add some apple cider vinegar while cooking them in the pan and serve them along with green asperges cooked a few minutes in the steak grease.

No need to feel ashame of cooking supermarket steak. Yes, people can the tell diference between cheap and expensive steak, but this doesn't mean the cheap steak cant be tasty, a bit of chewy though.
I have cook a lot of cheap steak, here is my recipe, other anons shared some great advice, albeit a bit complicate assuming you are inexperience? just assuming.
I hope your steaks are not frozen, if they are, defroze them in the lower shelf at least 12 hours before cooking. Around 20-30 minutes before cooking, put them out to room temperature. Season them with olive oil, salt and pepper, no need to exaggerate with the seasoning. Heat up your skillet at high temperature, hot enough for a drop of water to evaporate instantly (drop some couple drop of water for testing). When hot enough, gentley put the steak on the skillet, turn the heat to medium, cook for 7 to 7 1/2 minutes for 1 inch thick, flip every minute. Add some butter, garlic clove and thyme about 5 minutes into the cooking to enhance the flavour. When done, put it out of the skillet (so it wont continue cooking) and let it rest for 3 to 5 minutes. This should give you a nice medium rare result, reduce the cooking if your steak is lower than a 1inch thick (about 5 1/2 to 6 minutes), remind you that dont expect prime grade quality, it will be a bit chewy specially if not ribeye, but nevertheless tasty enough. Good luck

Never ate steak growing up because my dad doesn't like it for some reason (loves burgers). This is a retarded question but where am I supposed to get steak? The local butcher? The one time I bought it was in the discount isle of the supermarket because it was my first time cooking steak

Most supermarket have different quality of steak, no need to find specific brand, just guide with the price. Even costco have at least two quality to choose from. But if you have a local butcher nearby will be a great place too.

Most butchers aren't more expensive than Albert Heijn. Turkish ones can even be a lot cheaper but I don't know about the meat quality.

This, don't sweat it.
But if you want to get something good, ask your butcher. Tell him what you plan on doing with it, let him advise you on a suitable cut and preparation of said cut. If they take any pride in their work, they'll be happy to help.
