You know how every country has like a traditional Christmas dish right. Well except the Netherlands, that's the sad state of dutch food for you. People just eat default fancy French oriented food or nowadays even beef wellington

Oh but that is absolutely delicious. Good for you too. Plus, restaurants that serve that type of fare tend to not attract elements of the population who have arrived recently. I see that as an incredible bonus.

I love stoemp. Maybe it just the way I make it. I used to be a chef in a Belgian restaurant so I had to do a deep dive on the regional cuisine and I wrapped Holland in there too. There's not much to go on but some if it is pretty good. Cheese is great.

Southern USA. I don't care about your "cookout" when everything looks absolutely disgusting. Only the mac and cheese and meats are passable. Everything else looks disgusting.

Also, real Chinese in the poorer parts of the country strictly because of the high use of gutter oil.

And finally, English. Stargazy pie, beans on toast, toad in the hole. All fucking terrible.

Honorable mention to France, where everyone likes to pretend their cuisine is fancy and fine when all it is is some basic ingredients put together resulting in a bland ass dish.

Schorseneren are just an everyday vegetable in Belgium. People just generally don't buy them fresh cause they're such a pain to prepare like that
