A pound of steak is a small steak, 8oz is like a fucking appetizer, are you a literal woman? Or a small child? I’m only 5’8” 160lb and I make my dinner steaks at the absolute least 1.5lbs cooked, breakfast steaks can be 1lb, but that’s with the addition of 2-3 fried eggs and some home fries or hash browns.
