Evan Williams BiB is by far the best bourbon for anything under ~$50 and only eurofags or troglodyte autists trying to get popular on cringe inducing alcohol threads will disagree.

Buffalo trace is pretty okay and very available. I really enjoy rittenhouse rye as well.

No, absolutely fuck no. SQRRL is a fucking abomination. Foulest shit I've ever tasted. A splash of rotgut followed by a spike of pure disgusting sugar. Made my girlfriend literally puke on the spot when she tried it, and even I had to go for some water to cleanse my mouth of it. I don't care if you like Skrewball or Sheep Dog or any other meme peanut butter whiskey, but never go for SQRRL.

Well said. Alcohol salesman here. Sazerac has some crazy purchasing power and has some excellent connoisseurs in their employ. Their pricing is not based on quality or scarcity. The higher ups make some almost bizarre decisions and reel in a lot of money based on whatever algorithm they use. Old forester bourbon rates higher on quality especially their specialty items compared to blanton's for instance.

I love bourbon, and Ill get a pricey bottle once and a while for shits, but the shortage, or hype craze, or whatever it is pisses me off. If Im going to spend hundreds of dollars on a bottle of booze cognac, scotch, or rum seem much more worth it to me.

A million years ago I was just about to get married to an absolute shrew but this absolutely stunning 45 year old tomboy ginger divorcée I met on train because someone threw themselves on the tracks saved me.
