Not OP, but I rent and share a bin with non-alcoholics so am always hunting for ways to have alcohol containers that can be hidden in the garbage. Box wine is much better than tiny spirit bottles, though.

If you start buying shooters of good stuff like tito's, kettle one, tanqueray. bombay sapphire, JW black, gentleman jack etc... the cost is greatly magnified per each additional shot and they come in glass bottles that will break in a roadman bag or satchel.

I guess you could get around the price issue a bit if you go to an alcohol wholesaler that sells the packs of 12 nips as a unit

Why the restriction of miniatures? What is the actual question? Are you asking how to make a whisky/brandy/rum/vodka coke? DESU the only others are gin and tonic or whisky and lemonade.

The point of mixing anything in anything is to drink it discreetly when you shouldn't be looking less than classy like that. The best way to handle this is to have reason to have a bottle of soda? You look far more impulsive having a 7-11 cup or even better Taco Bell cup, where you look like you're sipping something you just bought. No one will think you bought alcohol at 5 Guys, but that you just came from there and just finising your combo meal.

It's not necessarily nefarious to have aclohol in your soda, just frugal. You can actually come down from your nice buzz between a restaurant and then parking or walking a couple of blocks, while waiting in line outside a stadium or concert venue before the doors open. But you look like a jerk downing booze if there's no open container laws, or when you get to the doorman. No biggie to pitch your Taco bell cup into the trash before going in, however.

What to put in the cup is up to your own taste for what you already like drinking though, dummy. Whatever you do, absolutely do not drive with anything already in your car, or even prepare your mix-in within the privacy of your car. It's separate, sealed, in the trunk, and not combined til you leave and get away from the vehicle. It's DUI if it's in the car and someone is watching you do this combining or if your empties are there. Be smart.

I've packed stuff in luggage that I can use my 1st night of "celebration" in a hotel room. minis in your 1qt are TSA friendly, just don't consume on the plane. Typically, on the rocks faves, and like kahlua or baileys don't need a thing but ice. Spiced rum works in any coke minus personal need for lime. If you pack your lime presliced, tequila shots don't disappoint. Easymode. Barcardi 151 helps when you need higher proof
