What's your preferred method to cook fish. I've never cooked it before and was given a few filets of Tilapia. Should I pan fry it, deep fry with batter, or marinade and throw on a grill?

I decided to season with garlic pepper salt and pan fry. Adding lime squirts as I eat. But I didn't buy it I was given it since I'm the only one in the family that will attempt to eat anything at least once. I hate to admit though, the slight fishy taste makes me a little squeamish like a bitch. It's kinda bland though, just slightly fishy but that's just my cooking probably.

Best way is to grill the entire fish and stuff its cavity with onion and lemon, make sure to salt the entire fish as the salt taste somehow penetrates through the skin, slather with olive oil and grill max temp 5 mins each side depending on the thiccness of the fish. It's the best tasting, cheapest, easiest and most visually impressive way to cook it (unless you cook for faggots who find the sight of a whole fish distasteful, in that case find better guests)

I am a basic manbitch. I love oven baked salmon.

I eat salmon 2 times a week this way:

I put the fish in an oven dish, sprinkle it with lemon juice, add salt, pepper, garlic powder and a sprinkling of bread crumbs.

16 minutes 30 seconds in the oven on 175c

This is the perfect cook for my taste. Super soft and maximum salmon flavor.

I often microwave potatoes with it. 4 - 5 potatoes in a dish with a sprinkle of salt, skin on. full power for 7 minutes. Serve with butter and silent tears of solidarity.

Went to a korean place and had their grilled mackerel. Fell in love and learned how to do it at home. My local asian market has a decent fish selection and I'll go there for either a mackerel or a fried pompano that they'll cook for free. Either way, it's a delicious meal.
