Yes. I bought a Le Creuset for $130 and have used it for years. My parents got a set for their wedding and have used the same set for 34 years. Do you really think a T-Fal is going to not only give you the same heat retention, but 34 years of service? They will die still using the same Le Creuset, I might even die using theirs.

Most people who buy one aren't going to utilize it to it's full potential. They'll use the store bought seasoning that it has and it'll sit around as a steak pan taking up room. However, if you take the time to build a good seasoning and really break in the flavors, it'll be the best pan you'll ever use.

Frying works good, I don't own a microwave so I toss the pan with a skim of oil in it in the oven during the preheat, pull it out hot, throw my leftovers in and reheat them in the pan. Haven't had to reseason once in four years and the seasoning is slicker than Teflon.
