>1,000 times better than their real meat counterpart
How do they do it?

>> No.15030886

>>15030881
If it's better than real meat then the shit you were getting before was garbage.

>> No.15030893

Because the sort of awful, low-quality sausage that they're competing with is already mostly filler, so taking out the trace of actual meat and upping the quality of the seasonings doesn't take much effort.

Sounds like someone has never tried an official
® Field Roast Grain Meat Co. Sausage
and it's abundantly clear.

Vegans are subhuman, stop shilling your shitty rabbit food and kys already. If you have to come here to try and attract customers your business deserves to fail.

Yeah because it's too expensive.
Why would I shell out 6 bucks for less than a pound of fake meat (plus shipping because I live in the countryside) when I have a freezer full of pasture raised duck and 1/4 of a local cow? I could easily make a pound of sausage from my local beef for less than 4 bucks. And since I had direct control over the herbs and spices (even going so far as to grow my own) I would imagine the quality would be superior

I would try it if I had a free sample, but even if I liked it I wouldn't shell out the extra cash.

Who said you have to buy it every time you go grocery shopping? I dont even buy it once a month, but when I do I enjoy it.

Never tried the brats, but I agree the apple sage are delicious. The chipotle ones too.

Lmao I was eating two of these when I came across this post. These are literally better than any meat sausage.

>> No.15031406

I was given a sample of one of those and it sucked. It wasn't even close to the texture of a sausage, it was like biting through a log of play doh

>> No.15031409

>>15031406
Obviously it wasn't cooked. Eating an uncooked sausage made of animal would taste like you're eating seasoned paste.

I agree 100%. Most likely it's a propriety spice blend that would give away their product. At least that is the justification of this that I've discovered when I researched this myself.

They taste OK but the texture is off-putting. The casing isn't edible so they're just sort of dense spongy logs of fake meat.
The fat in them renders differently and they don't brown up at all. They also disintegrate in soups
Its OK to just not eat sausages, instead of faux sausages that are not as good
Veggie burgers, chicken, and bacon are all very good though

because "real" meat sausages are already a high percentage filler
heck, it's not that far of a stretch to think that people who like sausages like the filling more than the meat itself
but as always, i will still prefer tofu

There's a big difference between grinding meat at home, putting in your own spices and fillers, and cooking it, vs eating some expeller pressed vital wheat gluten shit.

Also wtf is vegan sausage casing made out of? If I eviscerate my own pig I get free sausage casing with the sausage material.
