My heat tolerance increased dramatically over the summer because I was eating tons of peppers from my garden. As a result, the hot sauces I was using last year don't work anymore. I can't feel any heat whatsoever from Cholula. Tabasco and Nandos' hottest sauce slightly tingle if I eat a big spoonful straight up but aren't effective if I put them on food.

What hot sauces do y'all like? My garden isn't producing anymore peppers at the moment, so I'm looking to buy some hot sauces that pack a real punch.

Go to google or your favorite search engine and search for "Scoville Heat Scale". I'm sure you'll find lists of extreme hot sauces, much hotter than Tabasco. Then just pick your poison.

Make your own to taste. 5 habaneros with a little oil, 1 onion, 1 tomato, lemon, salt, garlic, lots of cumin, vinegar and water equal parts fried/simmered 10 minutes. Blender. There is your base recipe. I have experimented with all kinds of additives. chilis, orange, raisins, bell peppers, tomato paste...

I dice them up super finely and put them in Chili and Spaghetti sauce. Whatever you put them in, be sure you let it simmer for at least 15 minutes so the capsaicin has time to evenly distribute. Raw ghost peppers feel stabby.
