Shorter pasta = less slurping.

Chefs want you to slurp. They get aroused by the sound.

longer noodles have more soul
the soul escapes the noodle when broken

>> No.15029455

When you break it in half it is too short to swirl around a fork. It become impossible to eat, for no benefit.

I had a dream where me and some friends had to enter a Diablo 2 dungeon, and the only way was diving head first through a "toilet portal".
I got stuck and was about to drown when I woke up bathed in sweat.

This, it actually messes up the texture a bit. Longer noodles wrap around each other more when you twirl them onto the fork. When the noodles are shorter they just stay more disjointed and it makes it feel less dense as you chew which isn't as satisfying.

chef is a self-important title anyway so they can pretend they aren't just greasy little cooks lording over the deepfryer

they can barely intimidate dishwashers, and that's only cause half of them are teenagers, the rest are ex-cons
