Watched a woman of 25 years almost die from having a wisdom tooth out.
The hole got infected and developed into sepsis. We had her tubed and sedated on Propofol for a week and a half before she was even strong enough to do her own breathing.
Massive doses of IV antibiotic and fluids too of course. And norepinephrine to maintain blood pressure.

Scrambled eggs, oatmeal, yogurt, ice cream, pasta with a light sauce, mashed potatoes if that's your thing. I didn't get mine pulled until last year when I was 29, and I'm so mad I didn't get it years before.

Just take it easy and use some ibuprofen every 6-8 hours and you'll be back to eating normal food in a week.

It's not truth serum, it's anesthesia. Really not bad at all and I'm so glad I did it. I cannot recommend enough getting your wisdom teeth extracted. It's really improved my quality of life and I'm so irritated that I waited until they were getting infected to remove them. You're better off getting them out before then. I didn't take action until they were causing me serious pain. I just wanted them to just rip the fucking things out right then and there, but they made me wait nearly a month for the procedure. If you have insurance, just get it over with. Mine was $350 everything said and done with a cleaning, x-rays, and all that before hand, and then the full sedation and extraction on another date. I paid 5x that for basically the same work with my cat.

Same here in Germany. The dental surgeon gave me the option of getting a few shots of local anesthesia, or getting drugged up.
I asked him what he recommends, and he said the standard option is local anesthesia, and the other option is for people who are scared. So I chose the local anaesthesia.

I got put under because the bottom two were so severely laterally impacted that they had to remove an apparently not insignificant chunk of jawbone on the right side and put some kind of weird matrix thing in the gap for the bone to regrow.

I got put under. It was an option you could pay extra for and I have always hated dental work so the choice was easy. I woke up when they were almost done and said, "am I supposed to be awake?" But they couldn't give me any more for whatever reason so I was in an insane haze for the rest. It was pretty comfy. I fell asleep again while they were still working. When they woke me up I actually felt really good. I kinda hopped out of the chair and was happy high. Didn't say anything stupid or feel out of control for a second. Ate solid food again in 2 days. All in all, really not nearly as bad. Meanwhile, I know people who were miserable for a week and couldnt stop vomiting from the meds which tore the stiches. Mine were all out and in position normally, but I had multiple cavities and a chipped one. Probably worse if you have them still impacted.

All mine were impacted. I woke up halfway through the procedure and saw the dentist yanking out the tooth luckily i passed right back out. Mine were swollen for a week though it was terrible and I dropped to 130lbs

I was in such bad pain from four impacted wisdom teeth that I had to stick to chocolate shakes and soups for a bit. Just work your way up from what you can tolerate.

The dentist gave me like 20 vicodin after I got mine out. It was the weekend Fallout 4 came out. I laid in my bed and got fucking loaded and played Fallout for like 12 hours a day. It was amazing. Best experience of my life. Shit game though.

i went for chilled baby food. all 4 of mine were impacted and growing in perpendicular to the rest of my teeth, had to be shattered and the pieces picked out of my gums. so, yeah, i was doped up and limited in my food choices for a few days.

Not OP, but I had all 4 out when I was 13-14. They were all impacted, but not bothering me yet.
They gave me the gas before being put under, but I didn't like the gas and asked them to take it away. Then they put on the mask and I remember a weird smell and the big guy was out.
I had absolutely no problems being under and remember being a bit dizzy coming out of it and them bringing me out of the hospital in a wheelchair. I also remember the hot assistant that was helping me, pic related.
After I got all four out, I developed severe dry sockets and ended up going back to the oral surgeon's office pretty much every day to get the dry sockets irrigated. It was a bitch, but after about a week, most of the pain was gone. I didn't regain full range of motion on my jaw for about a year after that, though. Before you start making gay jokes, before the surgery I could eat a McDonald's double cheeseburger in one bite, and it took about a year to be able to do that again.
