No, as cliche as it sounds snake really tastes more like chicken (most reptile meat does, alligator tastes kind of sweeter though) while eel definitely has more of a fish/seafood taste. You can't really debone snake without shredding it in to tiny bits, it tastes fine but it's just kind of hassle to eat.

Burmese pythons like the ones you find in Florida have tons of mercury, so no. Also, it’s super rubbery and tastes like shit. Only edible snakes I know are rattlesnakes because I had it once in a ranch in Mexico. They don’t eat it often over there but they knew my girlfriend and I wanted to try it so they went and found one and prepared it for us. Pretty good imo.
