I found this at Publix a while ago, it has beef blood in the ingredient list. It had really big pieces of fat in it though which were kind of chewy, the European stuff looks better. Not sure why there's an issue with importing it.

Beans and black pudding for breakfast are just alien to American culture. A big working mans breakfast is alien to most people who don't work manual labour jobs.

Why does it seem so disgusting to you? Do you think the scones/biscuits are sweet? They're just like a quickbread made with milk and butter. It's heavy food but it tastes good when made properly and it's probably not too different from something like a yorkshire pudding with gravy.

It's easy enough to make yourself if you want to try it. Not sure if you can find the right kind of sausage to make it, but our breakfast sausage is seasoned with black pepper and sage if you just want to add it separately. So you cook the sausage in the pan and set it to the side, use the drippings to make a bechamel, then add the sausage with some salt and pepper if it needs it and serve it over a fresh biscuit. It's nice.

I think part of the problem is the vernacular used

to a british person biscuits and gravy counjures up the image of something you would dip into a cup of tea smothered in the brown meat gravy you would have with a sunday roast.

where in reality as you said the biscuit is actually a sort of savoury scone and the gravy is actually a sort of sauce made from flour, milk, onion and sausage or bacon perhaps with some tobasco or worstershire for seasoning
