The Fisher Pen was made using private capital. NASA spent $6 a pen on them having spent nothing on its research or development. The Soviet space program bought them too. Pencils are terrible in space because of the graphite powder that is naturally produced through writing getting into sensitive electronics in a zero-G environment.

Corporate jargon has to be some of the wackiest -isms. The best thing about that press release was how they suggested using the existing overhead conveyor systems to create a two story restaurant where all the cooking is done in a wageslave dungeon and they send the food orders upstairs to a much larger customer area.

1984 and also an oldfag. Was poor so rarely went to restaurants, but when we did I remember them asking about smoking/non-smoking sections. My Dad smoked, so I got my dins with a side of super cancer from the concentration of smokers. I remember working as a teenager in 2000, the store I worked at had a smoker's break room. Shit was hella nasty and yellow as fuck. I pitied the poor soul who had to clean that place every night.

That article's a load of bull. The Guardian did the marketing for some Chinese construction company tossing a coin into the well hoping that it can get a large project. I bet Chinese construction companies would offer to rebuild Buckingham Palace if it had to be rebuilt.

And they would if they were allowed. To the same standard they build everything...

Thankfully, I doubt such projects would be greenlit in the UK.
