I personally have not. However, I have read that they aren't nice to eat at all.

Im pretty sure goose is tradition in a some areas of europe

No. I assume it would taste similar to duck. I fucking love eating duck. Plus, ducks and geese are ass holes, so it would be nice to try it.

Yes, but not THIS TYPE of goose.

Wild animals in populated areas are often really disgusting to eat. They'll feed on whatever litter or detritus gets thrown out by people, so they'll taste just as good as that too.

Maybe Europeans don’t eat Canada geese, but hunting them is a pretty big sport, so presumably someone is eating them.

Not caught, but bought in the shop for Christmas dinner (britbong). It was literally like a giant duck, very rich and fatty but good.

I caught a duck once with a fake worm attached to a fishing line. Dumb bastard tried to eat my worm and I let it digest for about 10 minutes before flying him like a kite then stuffing him in a cage when I was done.

Had some breasts from one recently. Tasted like brisket. Friend shot it and cooked it.

Like if bird hunters would eat their prey. Only pheasants are interesting to eat.

I'll sometimes take a few with the bow since it's easy. You can get pretty close to these assholes because they are fearless.

>>14777428
Wild geese and ducks are very different from the ones you get at the store. A wild Canada goose has very little meat and fat on it in comparison to the plump ones in the store freezer. I usually just cut out the breasts and discard the rest. They're quite simply not worth the effort of plucking entirely.

I've shot them and eaten them. Ducks are much better. If I only have goose, I corn it.

My grandparents live next to a golf course and these little fuckers are everywhere....I didn’t realize how mean they are until one made a nest under the porch, every time you’d walk by your get chased or bitten

Anyways, they are federally protected so you can’t do anything to them, or rather, you’re not supposed to...one day I go out to swing my club and the big one is asleep like picrel, so I get this idea to just walk up and club it to death...fucker is so fast asleep he can’t hear me walk up, so I haul off and swing like I’m on the 16th hole at the phoenix open with my wedge, and it completely decapitates the bird (turns out their spines are really fragile)

Yeah you're not supposed to fuck with nesting geese but it's one of the only game birds I've known wardens to not really give a shit about.

Yes, shot one last season while duck hunting. Best recipe for grilled goose, marinade for 4 hours in your favorite marinade, soak a wood plank in soy sauce for 4 hours as well. Get a charcoal grill roaring hot. Place goose on wood plank, grill for 15 minutes. Throw goose out, eat the wood... seriously tho, goose is nasty

Don't this one from a load of years back, some stupid bird flys between a ball and a bat during a baseball game. A similar thing happened to a frisbee throw with me, some stupid seagull flew right inbetween a shot between a friend and myself and got knocked out the air, it stumbled around on the ground for a few seconds then flew off, at least the shot didn't kill it.
