"Italian food isn't authentic if you add herbs to it!"

Who says that?

Italians use loads of herbs.

Lots of people authentic like bolognese or pizza for example don't contain herbs but a load of little bitches moan about it

Food in Rome was way better than the food in Florence

Napoli Pizza has basil leaves on it.

A lot of Italians chefs get annoyed at how overused garlic is within their cuisine by outsiders though

I was thinking mainly bolognese. Anyone with taste will add bay leaf, basil and maybe some oregano but there are people who will moan about it not being authentic

I think the problem is making a meat sauce and calling bolognese, when that is a very specific type of ragu. Make your own sauce, put anything you want, just don't call it bolognese.

Here in Brazil people know "bolognese" as a basic ground beef and tomato sauce with peas and oregano on it. Is it good? Yes. Is it bolognese? No.

Not that specific. It's a different thing in different areas even in Italy. Then you are upset when there are variations beyond the border? No, I don't think you should.

If recipe is 90+% Italian it's a matter of respect to name it after its origin. If little bitches moan about it not being 100% then it sucks to be them

Yeah its ment to be mostly meat and wine and a tiny bit of tomato paste and for herbs just have a bay leaf and thyme. Try it like that its rlly good. But yeah the american version is good too and people sperging out and saying its gross are stupid but they are right in saying its not authentic
