Nobody will admit it but their bone-in ribeye is actually good. One time I went to Longhorn Steakhouse instead and ordered their bone-in ribeye. I can see why people would think that this is supposed to be (if only marginally) better, but they are wrong. Leaner is not better. What makes good old Outback outshine Longhorn by a wide margin is the very fact that the steak is so fatty. Steak is not health food. It never will be health food. If you're going to eat steak, and least eat it the right way. Otherwise stick to your buddha bowls.

It was a favorite among the employees because it was easy as shit to slap together. Haven't worked there since 2013 but I remember them being pretty good.

Really a lot of their stuff was in the "good" range — nothing really blew me away but nothing was abject garbage. I definitely ate more not-steak items than steak during my time working there.

I find most seafood places have bitchin tendies as well. I don't know if it's their aptitude for frying food, the batter they use, or just sharing the oil with all manners of fish and mollusks, but something imparts a special flavor and quality. If you want tendies your best bet is a seafood joint

I think another factor is because a fried seafood place will already have their own batter so they figure "why not?" and use the same or a slight variance for tendies while a regular restaurant will use some pre-battered frozen shit. I worked somewhere with a very simple menu so the only battered thing was onion rings but we'd make ourselves non menu food using what batter was left and definitely had some of the best chicken tenders ever just dicking around.
