And to all you retiree boomers out there lurking /ck/: holy shit, stop eating out every night. Just because you technically have to take your mask off to eat doesn't mean you're immune during that time. You're killing me, but you're the one's who are literally going to die. In any case, did you do anything nice for yourself /ck/ related on this breezeless, temperate Tuesday evening? I made a burger, stopped off at the market to pick up a few staples, and grabbed some Taco Bell - for good measure.

I was a little disappointed with the burger tonight since I got distracted and overcooked it a bit. But then I hit the car flask and remembered that I added a little bacon and goat cheese - I don't typically fall into such decadent whims - so everything is going to be alright.

Pretty boring Taco Bell order tonight. Just a couple dollar burritos and dollar tacos. Even though I’ve consistently been keeping it under $5, I’ve somehow managed to rack up enough reward points for yet another Belle Grande, even though I feel like I just got one a couple days ago. I guess it feels good when that’s the worst thing you have to complain about (haha).

The haul was also a bit of a disappointment (maybe I’m just tired). They were out of my Bubbies, and the only Nathan’s they had were spears and halves, and when wholes are out of the picture there’s really not much deliberation that needs to be made. Also glad I only picked up the baby bottle of the Basil Hayden’s; I kept hearing about how great it was, and then once I tried it everyone changed their tune to, “It’s not that great, it’s just a really ‘smooth’, ‘easy drinking’ whiskey to introduce someone to”. It’s not bad; just overpriced for what it is, like Tito’s or Grey Goose.
>>14670546
I usually put aside a couple bites for quality control when I toss a salad. I enjoy a good Caesar, but you’re kidding yourself if you think that’s a healthy meal. A Caesar is basically a step above a wedge. Romaine is slightly more nutrient rich than iceberg, but it’s still bare-bones fiber covered in fat, emulsified with fat, topped with shaved fat and stale bread that has been coated in fat. Thinking that a “salad with chicken” is a non-fatty meal is pure wine aunt science.

Lately I find that I'm adding pico to every single thing I order at Teebz. It really improves anything so much that the cost is worth it. Plus when you order cheap stuff already the cost is at least somewhat minimal, and puts the cheap items on par or even better than the more expensive items.

These nacho crunch double stacked tacos aren't the best, but they're okay for a dollar, and better than the potato taco. I don't know if it's a vocal minority making all these potato threads or what, but I always thought TB potatoes kind of sucked. Then again, I always go late at night so probably never had them fresh.
>>14671143
Yeah, I tried ordering a double stacked taco fresco one time, thinking they'd just remove the shredded cheese and replace it with pico like they do with with regular tacos, but they remove all the cheese, which means I got a hard shell taco with a soft tortilla wrapped around it, with no nacho cheese sauce to bind them. They should really call this the Triple Tortilla Taco. If they skimp out on the beef or nacho cheese it's almost like having a tasting menu of tortillas with slightly different textures. I really miss the Spicy Loaded Nacho Taco, which was basically the same except instead of a hard shell they gave you jalapenos, and instead of red strips you got little mini red chips. I might just be crazy and nostalgic, but I swear those little red chips were a lot tastier than their red strips (which I honestly think are always stale because honestly who the fuck is adding red strips to anything?).

What I like most is that you can just get different portions than the pre-packaged shit supermarkets sell. I'm not looking for a 3 for €2 pack of bell peppers where one of them is always damaged or subpar, I'd rather just pay €1 for the one pepper I'd actually use and can pick myself.

Beef burrito, grilled, add pico. It's what replaced the fritos burrito, and is basically the same thing except they removed the fritos and added creamy jalapeno sauce. It sounds good on paper, but apparently nobody gave the wageslaves the memo that they need to add more beef and rice to make up for the lack of fritos if they don't want it to look like a quesadilla melt. Last time I ordered pico they loaded it up, but unfortunately this time they gave me the half-assed teaspoon of something I paid 150% the base price to mod it with; I've always accepted TB's inconsistent portion sizes, but if they nuke pico I'm really not sure what I'll do aside from finally try Del Taco.
