I don't remember what exactly happened after that. The police arrived, my dad was crying, I had to talk to the police for a few hours, then I just started crying and vomiting again. I haven't eaten a baby carrot since. Even searching for an image of baby carrots almost gave me a panic attack. I'm fine with regular carrots, though

They also also flush the portocat every time they inject the medicine. It feels like you whole body tastes salt. In theb eginning every time they did that I puked out everything in my stomach. I didn't get sick when I tasted salt or anything. However just by remembering that salt taste throughout my body I had to puke again. Actually a pretty interesting experience, but anything I did or ate in that time when I got the chemo medicine I strongly disliked/hated for years.

It wasn't me eating it, I was sitting in a neighbors yard under a tree waiting for a friend to get back from somewhere,(the '80s were a very different time,) And the eldest brother of the kids who lived there had stolen his sister's Ronald McDonald birthday cookie. If anyone remembers these, they were about a foot long and shaped like the eponymous clown and covered with a rock hard icing that was more candy than icing and served on a white styrofoam tray. He didn't realize any one was around,(I was sitting behind a large tree trunk from his perspective,) and began to crunch into the thing. It must've been stale too because it was apparently rock hard from the sound of it. Something about that late summer day that I'll never forget as a strange tingling run up my spine and settled in the nape of my neck, radiating outward anew with every stolen crunch of that cookie. ASMR wasn't even a named thing then, and I've never had as strong a reaction as that day again, but I will remember the details of that day until my deathbed.

Almond Roca. It was my dad's favorite candy but a little expensive (yeah, we were stupid poor growing up). If it was left out for my sister and I, we'd eat that shit up in a hurry. So he'd always keep it hidden. But once a week or so, he'd make it super obvious he was opening up the can and even rattled it a little to make sure we heard. We'd come running, get our piece, and then settle in for an hour of a show or game night before bed.

When I was in 2nd grade or so I had some cheesecake with chocolate icing/topping, I woke up that night covered in vomit and threw up like two more times in the bathroom, it was absolutely disgusting and it has turned me off cheesecake forever

Yes, pic related but not any good memories. My father used to pick up these sometimes from the corner store when we ran out of cookies for a quick snack. But the only feelings I have with these are intense sadness. During the years my father bought these I was in high school. It was the height of my depression and suicidal tendencies. We got a plate of these smileys, never seen them before and chocolate milk. It was delicious. I remember being about 5 years old and my mom threw me into a horrible day care with three evil women who conspired together to keep us quiet and obedient. It felt like going to a haunted witches house.

One time, I was over for a few days at my friend's grandmother's house for New Year's celebrations. She served us banket, but I didn't know it was called until like 12 years later. I fucking loved it, and for some reason I mistook it for a kind of cookie. The taste was actually ingrained into my mind to the point that when I thought about that week or so in my life, I could imagine the taste.

Pancakes remind me of father. Every Christmas and other holiday or big family gathering he would make a mess of pancakes for the family. It's a nice warm feeling thinking about those times.
Eating pancakes alone just isn't the same.

I was fucking addicted to these little pizzas when I was a kid for some reason, but they were so depressingly small. For me I always attribute raki to when I lost my virginity and was walking around looking for a place that sold morning after pills.

Mine is Kid Cuisine. Sis would make me one when she was baby sitting then we had to play doctor in the bathroom.

Kraft Mac n Cheese and Lunchables. My parents were workaholics while I was growing up where my dad would have drunken outbursts at night; as such they never really cooked as much, leaving me and my brother to fend for ourselves. I slowly became the cook of the house, but that really meant cooking pre-made meals or easy shit, including shit like Kraft Mac n Cheese and buying Lunchables.

I actually improved and focused on cooking over time, but there's something nostalgic about making and eating Kraft Mac n Cheese; even if I make macaroni and cheese just doesn't feel/taste the same. I haven't had Lunchables in a 10+ years but somehow I always feel like I want to buy one whenever I'm at the store.
